In your community
Massey’s signature community programs and outreach services are designed with the community in mind. Serving as a bridge with the community to build trust through meaningful partnerships, these activities support center-wide efforts to reduce the cancer burden across the catchment area.
Champs connect Massey investigators and the community to identify and inform research priorities. Volunteers across the catchment area are trained in the science of cancer, the importance of research and cancer prevention and communication techniques.
Funding to nonprofits support projects that address the cancer burden in their respective communities with a particular focus on vulnerable populations.
Facts & Faith Fridays engages community members in timely discussions surrounding health, social, economic and disparities-related topics.
Massey’s mobile vans travel to urban and rural communities, working to reduce cancer health disparities and improve outcomes by promoting the importance of healthy living and regular screenings to help prevent and diagnose cancer early.
Massey’s Community Resource Centers and satellite sites provide access to cancer health information – cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, clinical trials and survivorship – in local communities.
