National Nurses Day is May 6. Join us in celebrating nurses making a difference in the lives of Massey cancer patients by making a gift to help advance innovation in cancer research and care at Massey.

Compassion is more than a quality nurses share – it is at the very core of who they are. At Massey, our nurses don’t just treat cancer, they treat people. Massey patients are moms and dads, daughters and sons, friends and neighbors. Every patient has a unique story and a unique cancer journey and our nurses are by their side every step of the way.

Massey nurses go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our patients and in the fight to end cancer, one patient at a time.

Take it from Steve Robinson, whose wife, Debbi, was treated at Massey following a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. While the Robinsons’ journey was difficult, Steve credits the nursing team at Massey and the palliative care unit for providing the compassion and solace they needed to face Debbi’s cancer diagnosis together.

Every nurse and doctor that came into our room was genuinely concerned for my wife’s comfort and well-being, and even when they were busy or otherwise engaged with another patient, they were never rude or dismissive of me. If I asked them for something and they would say ‘I will be there as soon as I can’ or ‘in a few minutes,’ I knew that they would be.
