Richmond Magazine’s annual list of “Top Docs” once again recognizes a number of VCU Massey Cancer Center physicians. Featured in the magazine’s April 2023 issue, the list includes 41 doctors from varied specialties who provide oncology-related care to Massey’s patients, including 13 who care for pediatric patients in partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Vanessa Sheppard, Ph.D., associate director for community outreach and engagement and health disparities research at Massey, was the magazine’s cover story for this year’s special edition. Sheppard was named the American Cancer Society’s Researcher of the Year for her innovative community studies on health disparities and breast cancer.
