About Massey's Food Resource Center
The Food Resource Center offers eligible cancer patients in active treatment at Massey immediate food assistance and long-term support for food-related needs. This resource plays a crucial role in meeting the nutritional needs of patients undergoing treatment.
Where to find us
Located on the Ground (G) floor of the Adult Outpatient Pavilion, the facility includes an industrial refrigerator and cabinets to store over 800 pounds of donated food each month. Massey aims to transform the space into a supportive environment that empowers patients on their cancer journey.
Massey has partnered with Feed More to receive monthly food box deliveries. Each 10 pound box contains a seasonally curated menu that includes essential canned goods and other nutritious items.

All patients actively undergoing treatment at Massey are screened for food insecurity based on Hunger Vital Sign criteria. By incorporating two brief screening questions, clinical teams can effectively assess patients for food insecurity, allowing Massey to more proactively identify individuals who may need extra support.
- Question 1: Within the past 12 months, I/we were worried whether our food would run out before we got money to buy more.
- Question 2: Within the past 12 months, the food I/we bought just didn’t last and I/we didn’t have the money to get more.
