Exercise and Yoga

Yoga for Cancer Patients & Survivors

Yoga has been proven to decrease anxiety, depression, stress and fatigue. It also improves strength, bone density, concentration and flexibility. These videos are designed to teach breathing, poses and modifications to perform safe and effective yoga.

Remember, you are always in control of your movement. If something does not feel correct for you on a specific day, it can be modified. There may be another pose you can choose to perform which works better for you. This is your time to have instruction and practice in this wonderful form of exercise that integrates the mind and body, movement and breath.

Massey does not endorse all integrative and complementary practices. We only recommend those that are known to be safe and have the potential to improve health when used alongside, and never in place of, professional medical care. All cancer patients are advised to consult with their physician before starting any integrative practice, as some may interfere with medical care.
