Lodging

A cancer diagnosis can be hard enough without other logistics complicating the picture. In special circumstances, those families who truly are in need of a home-away-from-home may find respite in establishments like The Ronald McDonald House.

Richmond’s Hospital Hospitality House is another alternative. Founded in 1985, the Hospital Hospitality House of Richmond has a legacy of providing lodging and non-medical services to family members and patients receiving treatment at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and other local hospitals.

Located just five blocks from the VCU Medical Center’s MCV Campus in downtown Richmond, it contains 105 private guest rooms with baths, and amenities designed to make guests comfortable.

Guests must be at least 14 years of age, unless she or he is a pediatric patient. Guests are referred by a representative of a participating hospital and must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
